Pet Plush Innovation
We created an eco-friendly plush toy designed to delight kids while minimizing environmental impact through sustainable materials and thoughtful craftsmanship. Combining softness, durability, and safety, this toy meets the growing demand from families seeking greener alternatives without sacrificing quality. Our approach balances playfulness with responsibility, offering a plush companion that’s as kind to the planet as it is to little hands.

The Challenge
How might we design a new line of sustainable, eco-conscious pet products that align with the values of modern pet owners while addressing environmental impact, durability, and usability?
The Insight
Through AI-assisted research and client interviews, we uncovered that today’s pet owners—especially Millennials and Gen Z—actively seek environmentally responsible options. They want products that reduce waste, avoid harmful materials, and align with their own lifestyle values. However, they often face a trade-off between sustainability, price, and performance.
The Problem
The pet product market is saturated with short-lifecycle, plastic-based, and mass-produced items. Pet owners are frustrated by disposable chew toys, wasteful packaging, and the lack of aesthetically pleasing, eco-responsible products that match the rest of their home.
Concept Development
Our sprint explored multiple directions using rapid sketching, AI-generated visual inspiration, and prototyping. We developed modular, compostable toys, refillable treat delivery systems, and multi-functional accessories using natural fibers and recycled plastics. Concepts were evaluated against environmental impact, user experience, and manufacturability.

Solution &Outcome
The final concept is a natural rubber squeaker ball made from sustainably harvested rubber and free from synthetic dyes or adhesives. The form is designed to be both fun and functional—textured for grip, safe for aggressive chewers, and equipped with a built-in squeaker to drive engagement. Packaged in a minimalist recycled-paper wrap, the ball is compostable at end-of-life and safe for both pets and the planet.
This outcome demonstrates how fast, insight-driven design sprints can lead to simple, market-ready solutions that are good for pets—and even better for the environment.
